We envision available knowledge and education applied to disaster prevention everywhere, and every school a safe school.

PLEASE use the tab on the top to go to "My Page" and select the "Settings" wheel on the right hand side. Under "Settings", select "E-mail" and LIMIT the number of e-mails you receive by selecting ONLY those you want. Under "Privacy" control what everyone sees - and LIMIT the "activity reports" that post from your account by checking ONLY "new content I add" and "events". THANKS!!

NETWORK MEMBERSHIP vs. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

COGSS&DPE Network Membership is open to all. However ACTIVE INDIVIDUAL Membership is limited to those people who participate actively in any one of the Coalition’s Workgroups or Task Teams or Ad Hoc Committees for at least 6 months in the course of any 1-year period. Active Members are expected to help in setting workgroup and committee objectives and contributing to the realization of these objectives. Working groups have access to their own closed discussion fora in addition to the public ones on the left. Working groups elect their co-chairs who serve on the COGSS & DPE Steering Committee. To become an active member please apply to join one of the groups below.

The case reports are brief stories related to schools or hospitals on any of the following
Lessons learned from past disasters
• Success stories on disaster risk mitigation of safe schools/hospitals

Philippines is no stranger to typhoons. Typhoon Ondoy (internationally known as "Ketsana") broke records, hit Manila where i was staying last week. It left a horrifying results.
